About

Patrick Timms is a political commentator, IT consultant and freelance translator, having spent a decade working in the education sector. He is a Supported Lodgings host for young people leaving care, working with Forum Housing and Cheshire East Children’s Services.

Patrick is the Editor of the Wolves of Westminster political opinion platform, which provides regular coverage and updates.

He has also written for a range of other platforms – including 1828, BrexitCentral, Comment Central, ConservativeHome and The Daily Express – and is available for commission from any interested parties. This blog is primarily intended as a portfolio of his (unedited) articles that were originally published elsewhere.

In addition, he has made several appearances on live television as a political commentator, with a selection of these to be found here.

He stood as a Councillor candidate for the Conservative Party in the Crewe West ward for the Cheshire East local council elections in May 2019.

In his personal life, he is also a drone enthusiast, owning a Parrot Bebop 2 and a DJI Mavic Pro.

Patrick can be found on Twitter as @Ephelyon – an online handle he has used for longer than he cares to remember, and no longer recalls the origin of. Any translation enquiries (mainly Low Franconian languages) can be directed to: patrick.timms@alphatranslations.co.uk.
