Patrick Timms is a political opinion writer, IT consultant and freelance translator, having spent a decade working in the education sector. He is also a Supported Lodgings host for young people leaving care, working with Forum Housing and Cheshire East Children’s Services.
Patrick is Deputy Editor of the Wolves of Westminster political news and opinion platform, providing daily news coverage and updates. His opinion writing mainly covers the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union. He also writes for a range of other online publications – including Backbench, The Backbencher, 1828, BrexitCentral and Comment Central – and is available for commission from any interested parties. This blog is primarily intended as a portfolio of his (unedited) articles that were originally published elsewhere.
He stood as a Councillor candidate for the Conservative Party in Crewe West for the Cheshire East local council elections in May 2019.
In his personal life, he is also a drone enthusiast, owning a Parrot Bebop 2 and a DJI Mavic Pro. Any insinuations of involvement at Gatwick Airport towards the end of 2018 are significantly overstated! 🙂
Patrick can be found on Twitter as @Ephelyon – an online handle he has used for longer than he cares to remember, and no longer recalls the origin of. Any translation enquiries (mainly Low Franconian languages) can be directed to: email@example.com.
